This is a MVP of a job-board that helps firms to fill jobs faster by working with several vetted recruiters at once. It is the result of running a boutique recruitment agency for four years in Zurich. My goal is to deliver high quality recruitment services at a reasonable price.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you don't find an answer below, e-mail me at email@example.com.
Why are there animal-emojis/numbers instead of company names?
We use those to shield firms on this platform for two reasons:
- Companies pay us because we shield them from spam and unfitting applicants (e.g., no work permit, obvious skill mismatch).
- We want to ensure that readers actually read the job advert. Your initial focus should be first on things that matter, job-title, tech-stack, tasks to be done on the job, not the brand-name or reputation of the firm.
How to unlock the name of a company in the advert, salary ranges, links to Glassdoor/Kununu etc.?
It is fairly easy to get to the detailed info about the firm like salary ranges, and links to Glassdoor/Kununu. We just kindly ask you to send us some info about yourself (this doesn't have to be a full CV, but we do appreciate a "hello" and short intro). If we think you are fit, we will answer with all information that we have about the vacancy that you are interested in.
I am a programmer semi-actively looking for a job, what do I do here?
You are welcome to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We love working with candidates, who want to explore their options and get help with their jobhunt in Switzerland. We give CV advice and explain your how to negotiate a 10% higher salary without appearing arrogant. (Salary negotiating is hard, it's usually the part programmers like most to hear about. Watch our advice here that we gave durig a talk at Europython 2016 - "how to make 5k EUR more in 2 minutes".)
Firms that work with us and hide behind the animal-emoji/number were pre-screened by us and are great places to work; we check if each firm has at least 8 out of 12 points on the Joel Test. So, don't be shy and reach out, even if you are not actively looking. Also, feel free to ping us, if you have friends who look for work and fit one of the jobs that you see on our site.
I am a (freelance) recruiter / a programmer who knows people who are looking, how can I help?
Once we screen and unlock you, you can partner with us to fill jobs in Switzerland! Please reach out to me at email@example.com for more details.
I am responsible for hiring engineers. How can I put a job advert on your site?
In order to get your vacancies listed, we usually do a 30 minute screening call with you to get to know you. We ask about the urgency of the role and details about work conditions for programmers.
